Warranty
WARRANTY AND REPLACEMENT POLICY
AVADAR provides a 24-month warranty and after-sales service for electric bikes. Free accessories are excluded from warranty service.
The 24-month warranty and after-sales service start from the time the initial buyer makes an order. The electric bike owner can only take advantage of the warranty if the following two conditions are met simultaneously:
- Less than 24 months have passed since the purchase
- You have the initial owner’s name and order number
COVERED PRODUCTS
Frame
AVADAR electric bike frames are covered by a 24-month replacement warranty. This warranty includes a replacement frame only. Labor charges to changeover parts are not included. Replacement work must be carried out by an authorized service. Frame styles and/or colors that are out of stock may be replaced by a compatible style and/or color at AVADAR’s discretion. Frame defects not covered by this warranty include, but are not limited to:
- Corrosion
- Paint fade, scratches, impact marks
- Impact damage
- Non-reversible modification (drilling/welding)
- Chain guard mount to the frame if applicable
Battery
AVADAR batteries are covered by a 12-month replacement warranty. Within 12 months of service – a defective battery will be repaired or replaced free of charge. The warranty period for a repaired or replaced battery remains unchanged from the original date of purchase. Newly purchased batteries will have a new 12-month warranty based on the date of purchase. Batteries can only be assessed and found to be defective by AVADAR. The warranty does not cover:
1. Defects or damage resulting from accident, abuse, misuse, abnormal use (including but not limited to stunt riding, racing, or other similar activities not consistent with the intended use of the products), improper storage, abnormal exposure to liquid, chemicals, moisture, abrasives, sand or dirt, neglect, or abnormal physical, electrical or electromechanical stress;
2. Scratches, dents, and cosmetic damage, unless caused by AVADAR;
3. Product that has the serial number or the bar code removed, defaced, damaged, altered, or made illegible;
4. Normal wear and tear;
5. Defects or damage to the products caused by the use of accessories, products, or ancillary/peripheral equipment not furnished or approved by AVADAR;
6. Defects or damage caused by the improper assembly, testing, operation, maintenance, installation, service, repair, or adjustment in a manner that varies from assembly instructions and owners manual;
7. Defects or damage resulting from external causes such as collision, fire, flooding, windstorm, lightning, earthquake, exposure to weather conditions, theft, blown fuse, or improper use of any electrical source;
8. Other unspecified defects or battery damage:
- Caused by charging by a battery charger not intended or appropriate for use with the battery or the improper use of a battery charger;
- If any seals on the battery are broken or show signs of unauthorized access;
- If the battery has been used in equipment other than the electric bike for which it is intended;
Parts and components
AVADAR original parts and components are covered by a 24-month replacement warranty. All shipping costs for spare parts and components are paid by the buyer. The warranty does not cover:
1. Normal wear and tear is not the result of defects in workmanship or materials. Wear and tear can be assessed only by AVADAR. Parts and components that are not normally covered include, but are not limited to:
- Brake Pads
- Rotors
- Spokes
- Tires and tubes
- Chains
- Chain rings
- Cassettes
- Cranksets
- Parts compromised due to corrosion (moisture, heat, etc)
- Damage or deterioration of the surface finish, appearance, or aesthetics of the product
- Warranty within one week after receiving the product on the frame, forks, handlebar, seat post, saddle, brakes, lights, crankset, pedals, rims, wheel hub, freewheel, cassette, derailleur, shifter, motor, throttle, controller, wiring harness, TFT display, kickstand, reflectors, and other hardware. Items damaged under normal use one week after receipt will be charged for during repair or replacement.
2. Labor charges for part replacement;
3. Defects or damage resulting from accident, abuse, misuse, abnormal use (including but not limited to stunt riding, racing, or other similar activities not consistent with the intended use of the products), improper storage, abnormal exposure to liquid, chemicals, moisture, abrasives, sand or dirt, neglect, or abnormal physical, electrical or electromechanical stress;

8. Defects or damage resulting from external causes such as collision, fire, flooding, windstorm, lightning, earthquake, exposure to weather conditions, theft, blown fuse, or improper use of any electrical source;
CLAIMS PROCESS
Warranty claims
All claims under this warranty must be directed to AVADAR at support@avadar.com. Any warranty claim requires proof of purchase and photographs or videos of the damaged product. Before making a warranty claim, we recommend that you contact us at support@avadar.com as there may be a simple solution to your problem. Valid warranty claims will be processed through AVADAR within 24 months of the initial purchase.
Avadar won’t replace parts or components until photos and/or videos of the damaged product are received. Customers must provide proof via email.
Shipping damage claims
In rare cases, the item received may be damaged during transportation. If shipping damage occurs, please contact support@avadar.com and provide us with photo or video proof.
Free accessories are not able to be repaired or replaced for free if they were damaged during transportation.
NOTICE: We do not accept shipping damage claims later than 7 days after receiving products.
REPAIR SERVICE
For offline bicycle store repair services like Velotooler, AVADAR provides only spare parts. We do not reimburse any labor costs incurred in the repair service.
